EcoFog® VpCI®-337 - a complete replacement for nitrogen blanketing and dry air systems



DESCRIPTION

EcoFog VpCI-337 is a ready-to-use waterborne vapour corrosion inhibitor used primarily for robust preservation of internal void spaces.


It is a complete replacement for nitrogen blanketing and dry air systems that are both expensive to install and maintain.

Nitrogen blankets are also a health hazard to personnel entering the interiors.

The Vapour phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI) in EcoFog VpCI-337 migrate and protect metal surfaces, resulting in time and cost savings. VpCI-337 is used to fog void spaces, tanks, containers, packages, and enclosures.


These labour-saving techniques use a minimum of product to protect large areas or volumes. In addition, Ecofog VpCI-337 is effective on ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as aluminum, plated steels, and copper.

The Vapour phase Corrosion Inhibitors in EcoFog VpCI-337 migrate and protect metal surfaces, resulting in time and cost savings. VpCI-337 is used to fog void spaces, tanks, containers, packages, and enclosures.

In most cases, products protected by EcoFog VpCI-337 are ready-to-use; no degreasing or stripping is necessary by most end users. The metal will retain a clean, rust-free surface.

In most cases, the thin protective film will not affect paintability, conductivity, appearance, or any other important property of metals or alloys.


EcoFog VpCI-337 is also available in a cold weather version.

EcoFog VpCI-337 Winterised has a lower freezing point for the convenience of application and storage in cold temperatures.


VpCI-337 available from Presserv, Aberdeen, provides multi-metal corrosion protection for hot/cold-rolled steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, zinc, aluminum, copper and brass. Leaves a thin, self-healing film that is environmentally approved for use and ready-to-use.

APPLICATION

Material Handling:

Fog or mist without dilution into containers, boxes, crates, and shrouded packages at a rate of 1 oz./ft3 (1L/m3 ) of enclosed space. Spray on cardboard, wood pallets, closed and open cell foams, and other packaging materials. Always spray Ecofog VpCI-337 uniformly within enclosure and allow direct access of vapours to metal surfaces to be protected.


Product Preparation:

Mix thoroughly if separation or settling has occurred.

EcoFog VpCI-337 is packaged in 5 gallon (19 litre) plastic pails, 55 gallon (208 litre) metal drums, totes, and bulk.


EcoAir® VpCI-337 fogger is available in 12 oz. (340g) com-pressed air cans.


Minimum storage temperature: 12°F (-12°C)

Maximum storage temperature: 120°F (49°C)


EcoFog VpCI-337 Winterised is packaged in 5 gallon (19 litre) plastic pails, 55 gallon (208 litre) metal drums, totes, and bulk.


Minimum storage temperature: -26°F (-32°C)

Maximum storage temperature: 120°F (49°C)

Shelf life is 24 months.
